Sustainability

At Inkling Resin Art, we are working towards greater sustainability and continually strive to minimise our environmental impact. Here are some of the practices we have adopted:

  • Reusable Silicone Mats: In our studio, we use silicone mats instead of plastic sheets for resin pouring. These mats can be reused for every pour, significantly reducing plastic waste in landfills.

  • Eco-Friendly Materials: We opt for paper cups and popsticks to avoid using additional plastic in our processes.

  • Zero Waste Resin: We creatively repurpose resin run-off and leftovers to craft new pieces, ensuring no resin goes to waste.

  • Recycling and Reusing: We recycle materials whenever possible and reuse plastic bags that come with stock items, reducing our overall plastic consumption.

  • Sustainable Wood Choices: Using Camphor Laurel timber is a sustainable option as it helps control an invasive species in Australia. All Camphor Laurel products are hand-carved by local Australian woodworkers, providing a durable and eco-friendly material for crafting.

  • Supporting Marine Conservation: With our new initiative, we donate $1 from each coral coaster sold to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, supporting efforts to conserve marine life and protect our environment. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation

We are continuously working towards being greener and are implementing new eco-friendly practices where possible. Through these efforts, Inkling Resin Art is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and contributing to a healthier planet.

Our Timber

We proudly use Camphor Laurel timber in select products due to its numerous benefits and sustainable nature. As an invasive species in Australia, using this timber helps control its spread, making it an eco-friendly choice. Camphor Laurel timber is renowned for its distinctive, fresh aroma and natural antibacterial properties which make Camphor Laurel timber ideal for cheese boards and entertaining platters, ensuring a safer surface for food. Each piece boasts a stunningly unique grain, ensuring no two items are ever the same. By sourcing our Camphor Laurel timber from local Australian woodworkers, we support small businesses and promote sustainable craftsmanship. This commitment not only results in beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations but also helps preserve our environment.
